Indian Army has invited application from eligible Engineering Graduates and also from Widows of Defence Personnel for grant of 55th Short Service Commission (Tech) and 26th Short Service Commission (Tech) Women Course. The course will commence in Oct 2020 at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Interested Candidates are required to submit an application only through the online facility on or before 20-02-2020. Before filling the form, Candidates should make ensure about meeting eligibility criteria. All personal and educational details must be mentioned properly.
The Indian Army are the land-based branch and the largest component of the Indian Armed Forces. The President of India serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the army while the leadership lies with Minister of Defence, and it is commanded by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), who is a four-star general. Two officers have been conferred the rank of Field marshal, a five-star ranked general, which is a ceremonial position of great honour.
1) For SSC (T)-55 Men and SSCW (T) 26 Women: – Between minimum 20 to maximum 27 years.
2) For widows of Defence Personnel who Died in Harness Only: – SSCW (No Tech) [Non UPSC] and SSCW (Tech) – A maximum of 35 years of age as on 01 Oct 2020.
